That’s what a horse book did for me. And that’s what I hope this website can do for you.
Let’s face it– there aren’t many resources for horse-crazy teens these days that are both informative, fun, AND safe. And even fewer resources for teens who not only love horses, but want to write about them in the way that the great equine fiction writers of the past have, while still being realistic.
Well, that’s what Equine on the Mind is for.
My name is Allie Lynn. I’m an equine fiction writer pursuing traditional publication and a hopeful future career as an author. I love equine fantasy, the way the world smells after a good rain, coffee with goat milk creamer, Ancona ducks, and books with strong male characters. I created this website to be a place of community– where the horse-crazy writing teens of this world can find the resources they need to write the next generation of excellent equine fiction. Because let’s face it– even though equine fiction is one of the most popular sub-genres in the world, it’s hard to find fiction that doesn’t carry all of the tropes that we horse-savvy people abhor.
